Twitter Tips: What is a #Hashtag?

On Twitter, the # symbol, called a hashtag, is used to mark keywords or topics in a tweet. Using hashtags categorizes your tweets, helping them to show up more easily in Twitter searches. Hashtags can also be used to participate in Twitter chats pertaining to your healthcare specialty.
